2 inch wide, star shaped, interesting white-pink flowers with red spots bloom from late summer to fall. One of the latest bloomers in the fall bed. Tricyrtis are shade lovers and spread by rhizomes. The stems are about 3-4 feet tall with the flowers held in the axils of the leaves. The flowers are subtle, so although they are fairly tall should be planted no further back than mid bed.
Care and Maintenance:
Frost hardy. Grow in part shade in humus-rich, moist soil for best growth. Will adapt to average soil and even dry shade, but will not be as impressive.
