General Description:
Poppy flowers are a traditional favorite. Useful for cutting if picked in bud. Large clumps of hair foliage produce enormous spectacular, satiny 4" flowers in shades of red, orange and pink with dark centres. Blue green lance-like leaves are hairy and can become straggly.

-Orientals -grow 34-40" tall and spread 18-24". Gorgeos in the border
-Anomalum -14-16" Lovely white form has slightly scalloped petals. Flowers over a long period.

Care and Maintenance:
Fully frost hardy. Prefers full sun and deep, moist, well drained soil. May self seed. Leaves tend to go dormant after flowering. Do not trim off the foliage in the fall, wait to spring and then prune only the dead foliage, not the new growth.
