Also known as alum root. Clump forming plant with scalloped leaves, often tinted bronze or purple and marbled. Stems bear masses of dainty white, crimson or ivory bell shaped flowers of a long period. Makes useful woodland, rockery, edging or ground cover specimen. Flower sprays are excellent for cutting.

Care and Maintenance:
Frost hardy. Grows well in either full sun or part shade and likes well drained, coarse, moisture retentive soil.
