General Description:
Forms substantial shrub like plants similare in foliage and flower to the Tropical varieties. Multiple single hollyhock-like flowers 8-10 inches across are held on robust stems in late summer/early fall. Needs good drainage, but not be allowed to dry out in summer dry spells.

Care and Maintenance:
"Thrives in full sun and rich, slightly acidic, well drained soil. Water regularly and feed during blooming period. Prune after flowering to maintain shape." A thick mulch is recommended for the first winter. Slow to resume growth in the spring. Cut old stems back before new growth appears.
