General Description:
Fast growing native, deciduous perennial forms a mat of glossy green leaves. Pink bell shaped blooms are followed by edible red berries. Whorled leaves are followe by delicate white flowers. Drought tolerant.

Care and Maintenance:
Plant in woodland garden situations or rock gardens. Likes poor infertile soil and part shade. Requires snow cover in winter to protect the evergreen foliage. Not salt tolerant so do not plant by roads or sidewalks.
