General Description:
The purple coneflower produces single rose-purple coloured flowers, 4 - 5 inches across with an orange-brown central cone. They are clump forming plants with edible roots. An excellent garden plant for the landscape and for cut flowers. Uniform habit, long-lived, does not need staking. Non-invasive. Loved by bees and butterflies.
-White variety less tolerant to excess water.
-Double Decker -unique flower with a layer of rosy pink petals sandwiching the cone.
-Orange Meadowbrite -'large 4" vibrant orange blooms over dark green boliage; orange spice tea scent'. Adaptable to humidity, heat and cold. Limited quantities

Care and Maintenance:
Very frost hardy. Plants like full sun and fertile soil, and resent disturbance. Mulch each spring. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Not bothered by many pests or diseases.
