General Description:
Dependable performers for cottage gardens and borders. The flower spikes harmonize nicely with Yarrow, Russian Sage, Bee Balm,Garden Phlox and Geranium. They also combine particularly well with Aruncus and Lady's Mantle, especially in large display plantings. Plant in groups.
persicifolia: up to 3 feet, large nodding, bowl shaped blue or white flowers
glomerata: Violet blue, star shaped flowers are grouped in globular clusters on 10-15 inch tall stems in early summer and again later on if deadheaded.
punctata: Vigorous 18-24" tall plants with huge 2-3" bell shaped flowers. Prolific bloomers.
poshc.: cascading clusters of medium blue start shaped blooms 18-24"

Care and Maintenance:
Staking taller varieties is recommended. Does best in moderately rich, moist, well drained soil. Grows in sun or shade, but flower color is best in shady situations. Protect from drying winds.
