General Description:
Monkshood are wonderful old-fashioned perennials, perfectly suited for large border plantings and woodland gardens. The common name refers to the hooded, helmet shaped flowers borne on erect spikes. This summer-flowering selection has tall, stately spikes of deep violet-blue or creamy white hooded flowers, over a clump of attractive dark green, finely-cut leaves. An outstanding cut flower. Closely resembles delphiniums.

Care and Maintenance:
Prefers deep, moist soil and a sheltered position, partly shaded if in a hot dry area. Likes damp woodland or stream bank conditions. Prefers a site that will not dry out in summer.
